Urbanization has concentrated mainly on the development of economic activities which have led to boosting the growth of the economic. However, the process has also promoted inequality, social disruption, environmental damage as well as direct impact on the criminal behaviour that may affect the quality of human life. Thus, the strength of community spirit and environmental development, as well as organizations, need to be balanced to maintain the sustainability of the quality of urban life. Therefore, urban development should be incorporated and be used as an approach towards building safe cities by building the resilient systems. In enhancing urban resilient a people-centred and multi-faceted approach should be followed in order to integrate and highlight the physical, social, economic, governance and community characteristics.
